YouTube channel LORE is known for summarizing the mythology of various franchises with one-minute animations. It recently took a crack at Twilight Princess, using offbeat comedic imagery to get the message across. Zant’s portrayal alone makes the video worth checking out. Hit the jump to take a look!
My Nintendo, the big N’s successor to the Club Nintendo rewards program, launched today. The site already features more than a handful of neat rewards, including 3DS menu themes, discounts, and Virtual Console games.
However, the most notable reward is definitely My Nintendo Picross: Twilight Princess. This downloadable puzzle game for 3DS is, as of right now, available only through My Nintendo — for 1000 points, no less! That’s going to be a pretty steep climb for me, at least.
The title has been available in Japan for awhile now, and YouTuber NintenDaan released some footage of that version in action. Based on the video, it looks as if Midna herself is the one guiding you through the game’s 45 levels.
I’m telling you, she’s everywhere at this point, guys. I mean, I just finished Twilight Princess HD last night, and the mischievous imp is already trying to teach me how to play Picross. See the game for yourself after the jump!
The latest Hyrule Warriors Legends trailer sheds some light on the game’s amiibo functionality. The footage suggests that each Zelda series figure unlocks an enhanced weapon for its respective character. For example, the Link amiibo gives the Hylian Hero the power gloves, chain chomp and all.
The trailer reveals that the Wolf Link amiibo is compatible, too. It will unlock weapons for both Midna and Twili Midna. Take a look after the jump.
Nintendo released the final episode in its Twilight Princess Retrospective series earlier today.
This time around, the team discusses some of the HD remake’s new features, including the Wolf Link-Midna amiibo and the Cave of Shadows. Assistant director Tomomi Sano notes that she received a ton of requests for a figure based on the iconic duo. As a fan of the mischievous imp herself, Sano championed the idea of a Midna amiibo.
The episode caps off with a brief hint from Eiji Aonuma regarding Zelda U. Check it out after the jump.
The wait is over, folks. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is available in North America and Europe.
I can’t believe it’s been about a year and a half since I last played my all-time favorite video game — so excited to hop back into it. Considering that I have played through the GameCube version only once — my first time through back in ’07 — this journey through the HD remake’s normal difficulty setting should be refreshing.
Reviews have been pouring out throughout the past few days, too. As of right now, it’s averaging at 85 percent on Metacritic. Given the original’s fluctuating reputation among the Zelda fan base throughout the past decade, I’m happy to see such positive reception. Take a look at some of the gaming media’s comments after the jump.
