"This is a strange, quiet place... but it still has an ominous feel to it."

My thoughts exactly, Midna. While being one of the strangest dungeons in the game, the Temple of Time is also one of my favorites. Everything here looks ancient, yet pristine. I love the subtle touches that were added to this temple, like the fact that -- unlike with previous dungeons -- the doors, upon being opened, don't release a small pile of debris. The Dominion Rod is an incredibly neat item, and it's a shame that it won't be used that much outside of the Temple of Time. Also, while playing through this area for the first time, I distinctly remember thinking "what's with the emphasis on arachnids?"

"What a handy little spider-crusher!"

Oh, there we go! I love the battle against Armogohma. Yes, it's incredibly easy, but like many of the boss fights in Twilight Princess, it oozes atmosphere. And c'mon -- don't tell me that using those statues to squash the bug isn't fun!

Nice rare. Too bad you couldn't get the god Tier. Try turning into a wolf next time. I haven't Tried it and only successfully skipped Oocca once. A hard task. And I don't even know how I did it. Good luck to you on the next part, city in the sky. viewtopic.php?f=32&t=2663

Actually, not a single item is really used outside of dungeons. You might have to use them two or three times to get some Heart Pieces, but once you've completed a certain temple with a certain item, you will basically never use it again to progress in the game. The Rod must be the only exception.

"... I wonder if I put him off?"

This is undoubtedly my favorite of the pre-dungeon sequences in Twilight Princess. The Hidden Village, especially, is just ridiculously entertaining. It makes the idea of a western-themed Zelda game sound at least somewhat appealing. Oh, and I love collecting all of the pages of the "sky book." It's sort of like the Triforce Hunt from Wind Waker, only... less horrible. I salute you, Dominion Rod (seriously, this item needs to make a comeback).

"It's that overgrown bird again. Maybe it's lonely because it can't fly down here."

From what I've seen, The City in the Sky is one of the more polarizing levels in the game. Personally, I love this dungeon, partially because it really takes advantage of my fear of heights, and partially because it introduced the world to the glory of the Double Clawshots.

Achieving God Status with this section was a royal pain, by the way. 'Twas the good kind of pain, though. :P

"Zant."

From what I've seen, the Palace of Twilight -- moreso than all of the other temples in TP, anyway -- seems to get the most flack from the Zelda fan community. Admittedly, the structure of the place is a bit strange, but this is actually one of my favorite locales in the entire game. The Sol is a nice concept that eventually led us to the Timeshift Stones of Skyward Sword.

Now, while the mini-boss(es?) was kind of lame, I absolutely love the actual fight against the Usurper King himself, Zant. A ton of folks feel differently, but I thoroughly dug Zant's shift into lunacy. With that being the case, the fight against him was -- for me, at least -- immensely entertaining. I'm not being a contrarian just for the sake of being one, I swear!

There's not much to say about the final dungeon itself, admittedly. 'Tis easily the shortest of the lot, though it serves as a nice bit of buildup for the final confrontation against the King of Evil himself. And, man, what a confrontation that is! The four-phased battle against Zelda, Ganon, and Ganondorf is, far and away, my favorite boss from any video game. The way in which it escalates is just awe-inspiring, especially within the context of the story.

"Link... I... See you later."

Yep, that scene is still a serious punch to the gut. It's the one sequence from any work of fiction that still hits me just as hard, even after experiencing it over a dozen times. It's a beautifully melancholy scene, and watching the ending of TP again provided me with a much-needed reminder of why I'm a part of this site.

Thanks again for keeping track of the schedule, Xytox. Hopefully, if we decide to do this again next Summer, there will be more of us who are available to participate. In any event, I'm glad that I was able to revisit my favorite video game.
