Indeed. I'd also like to point out that the little display up there is right on top of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", which I think is a funny juxtaposition. Screw you, Beatles. I'll tell you what though, if you try hard enough, you might just get to be used as the platform for a Studebaker masterpiece.

So hey, I still don't have digital copies of any the album material to share with you guys, but until that fateful day arrives, hopefully this'll tide you over. For one minute and forty-five glorious seconds.

This is one of a few new songs we've been recording recently, so when we finish those, odds are I'll have them up here too. Also, I still don't have an actual music file for this song, so the youtube video will have to work for now.

The quality isn't too good but......GREAT! I'm loving the new style. The singing and overall tune is thoroughly enjoyable. You can count on me to love the postive, energetic music that I seem to always find in your music!

Yeah, it's kind of distorted for whatever reason. I think the one who was playing with this in audacity got a little overzealous in the amplification process.

Also, here are some rather lo-fi tunes from the show we played on Halloween. I'll be posting more as our video handler/trombone player uploads them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSKWEYJ6Tw8

You may notice that the balance is way off, with my guitar being obnoxiously loud in comparison to everyone else. That's mostly because of the crappy mic on the camera, so take my word for it when I say that it actually sounded a lot better in person.

Oh, and here's an alternate arrangement for "Mr. Green Genes" into "Muffin Man" from a show we played in July that our drummer couldn't go to so our banjo player had to play drums. It's the same camera, so the same "loud guitar" problem still occurs:

And as a bonus, here's the best music video the world has ever known, created by Studebaker Hawk's sister group, the Queefs, for their song "Butthole":

That should about do it for that slew of updates. Thanks for the positive feedback, Riki.

Oh man. I have too much to say, so i'll just ramble out all of my thoughts. You're fricking amazing! It's true that your band together sounds kind of rubbish, i'm not gonna deny that, but I definitely notice the individual skill in all of you (mostly you hehe). I actually really enjoy the tunes you guys play. You guys are like perfect for shows like that, cuz you're so chill and humorous. The banjo player is really energetic. I love the trombone parts. Your singing is way better than the banjo players, i vote you for lead. The Minute Men song was badass and sounded great. I enjoyed your singing a lot actually lol. That tuning thing you did at the end of "Waiting to Die" was very badass. Was that a harmonica playing in the back during Camarillo Brillo or something else? The first song at the cigar bar was great. I think i heard the Zelda theme in there once (The tune that goes up the scale and sounds really heroic). That crazy spazz you had at the end of the cigar bar video was hardcore. Sorry, the music video isn't that epic. It kind of sucks actually, the quality of everything in it was basically....bad.

So yeah, I really enjoyed it all. I actually wanted more when the list of youtube videos ran out.

Waiting to Die is actually one of the last songs on that tape we released with Tam Tam, and that tuning thing I do at the beginning and end is also in there, although not nearly as loud, because my guitar is so overly loud in these videos that it isn't even funny. Also, I appreciate your views on my singing quality, but Studebaker has never had a real lead singer; usually whoever writes the song sings it. Also, Fun Fact: the Minute Men song is actually "Can You Hear Me Dr. Kirkwood?", the studio version of which I posted in an earlier video. Yes that was a harmonica during Camarillo Brillo. And yes, that was the Zelda theme during Mr. Green Genes, I'm glad somebody noticed. You'll notice if you look closely enough that the spazz at the end of the cigar bar video also involved our banjo player/provisional drummer falling over backwards and getting stuck in that position, which is actually pretty funny. The Queefs video is epic precisely because it is so unreasonably stupid and bad. The roller coaster thing still kills me.

Anyway, woo! Positive reviews!

Cool, cool. I actually did consider that you guys made a bad music video for laughs, as you tend to joke similarly about with your music, but after a while, it just got repetitive and the quality just hurt my eyes.

So, if anybody here is already familiar with the Gay Song, here's another rendition of it live at the Ethos Vegan Kitchen show. Things to notice: me jogging in place, Alex (the trombone player in the middle) spamming the video with comments that show up on screen and humping his trombone near the beginning, Alex's superior trombone solo, the many, many mistakes we all made, and JOE MCCARTHY JOE MCCARTHY JOE MCCARTHY JOE MCCARTHY near the end.

This is actually the greatest song ever. I like the running/flying actions you did. It also looked very embarrassing.

Yet another release from that demo I've been talking about, this one being called "Ruminations in Bus Stations", otherwise known as Japanese Karaoke. The more observant Studebakerites will notice that I have a live version of this song up from the Ethos Vegan Kitchen show. Also, it distorts kind of bad just like Dr. Kirkwood, which we'll work out eventually.
