Post Ruby/Sapphire Remakes
Well I've been waiting for something like this for several years now, and there are finally actual signs pointing towards a Ruby/Sapphire remake. Before I found the actual evidence, I was thinking that it would be released sometime this year because Game Freak has had a habit of releasing remakes about 10 years after the original was made. While I haven't played X & Y yet, I've found an article showing NPCs hinting at a R/S remake.

So, with that being said, what are your thoughts on this? Do the R/S games deserve a remake, or should just be left how they are?

Gen 3 was my first, and probably my favourite, so I'd look forward to a remake. But baring in mind I read that quote and thought 'What facility?' I feel like people *might* be reading more into what they guy says than is actually meant to be. I don't know. I'm just kinda sitting here thinking if they do it, great, if they don't, that's cool too.

When he mentioned a facility he was most likely referring to the Battle Frontier, which I would definitely be excited about. Anyone who knows my tastes in Pokemon knows that I love the Battle Frontier. As for my thoughts on whether it should be remade, I'm not entirely sure now. It would be nice to see Gen 3 updated, but there's not really too much of a point. Gen 1 and 2 were remade because you couldn't transfer Pokemon from the original GB/GBC games. As for Gen 3, it's still completely possible. I'm not against the idea of a remake, but I think it's kind of pointless.

...It is?

I've been long awaiting a Gen 3 remake. I'm Hoenn ignorant and that drives me crazy. I have Sapphire, but it kept spontaneously erasing my save data and I eventually gave up. I'd like to finally know what I'm missing out on and not ask whenever I hear an unfamiliar Pokemon name, "That's from Hoenn, isn't it?"

Definitely for it. Gen 3 IMO was the best. 5 games that are compatible (not including Colosseum), with their high-point in design originality. It would be interesting to see what exactly they plan on doing with it. I would generally favor adding the new move-sets to gen 3. Id also say they really need to make the elite 4 a challenge. When the the champions last pokemon in RSE is the same level as Lorelei's starting dewgong in LG, there's a problem.
