Post Re: camarosquid's Mass Playthrough Journal
You know what? Seeing as how I really don't have much time to do the rest of this section of the mass playthrough I am mostly going to be playing and not typing. I might jot down some interesting things but don't count on it because I only got until midnight to finish the Lakebed Temple so I really should get on this. Oh, are you surprised that I didn't refer to you all as Sky Children? Well take a look at that spoiler down there. Go on, DO IT! Oh, if you can guess what meme it is that that picture is of then you win one internets.

Spoiler HTML code

6:55 PM Okay Got the game in and everything just need to select the one and only profile on this system and I will be good to go. Like I said, I wont be able to talk much because I want to finish this playthrough section before the due date which is midnight. Sadly I wont be doing any fishing or anything but instead just playing the game like normal.

7:38 PM Link stares at Telma's boobs. TWICE!!! I bet you can already guess that I am already done escorting Telma to Kakariko village already so only a little bit longer. Oh and Link has such squinty eyes here but that is probably because he is really worried about Ilia. I would too if a friend of mine had lost their memories. Okay time to move onward.

7:44 PM Oh I would also like to mention that the Serenade of Water plays in the background as you follow the Zora queen to get the Zora tunic. This game really is a call to all the fans of Ocarina of Time. I wonder if I will have some time to do some caverns? Eh, why the heck not. It isn't like the Lakebed Temple is super hard or anything.

7:56 PM Oh, did I tell you how much I love Barnes? Yes? Good, because Barnes is perhaps my favorite shop keep in the series now that I think about it. Just how he acts is priceless but I said this so many times that you all get it. He is like the spiritual successor to Morshu from the CD-I Zelda game. I guess I will go and collect a few things before I make my way to the Lakebed Temple.

8:19 PM Slow and steady I made my way into the Lakebed Temple. Hey look! I told you I wouldn't be saying much for this journal entry and I was right! Um, what did I want to say, well nothing really except that the Zora Armor makes you look like a ninja while underwater. Why was there no fire tunic?

8:27 PM Caught a skullfish. Yeah you can actually do that. Doesn't take much to catch these guys either. Sadly it wont be recorded in the fishing journal either. Ah fishing, how much of it I shall do later on in this playthrough once I get the freedom of warping. Well time to continue on.

9:53 PM Morpheel. It took longer to get to you than I expected but I guess that is because I had stuff to do such as dishes. Sigh, dishes. Oh well time to defeat this boss. Really this shouldn't be hard at all defeating Morpha's descendant Morpheel. The only hard part is the first phase to be honest with you. This boss itself is sort of a tribute to the Water Temple boss from Ocarina of Time, Morpha.

9:59 PM And it is dead. Wow that was easy but the overall designs of the bosses themselves totally make up for that especially how they look overall. Okay time to switch tunics and get out of here and save and quit. I am not sure if I am looking forward to the next part of the playthrough or not seeing as how there is a lot to do and not to mention Midna's Desperate Hour. Oh and FEZeldalord12345, your bastardizing move wont work on me!

If you're having trouble with figuring out what to write, what I do is I keep a piece of paper next to me when playing and when something comes up, I just jot down a few words next to a time stamp.

Did you cliffhang yourself properly? When I did it to firemaster one time he was just staring at me with dead silence for at least 2 minutes. :plot:

Post Re: camarosquid's Mass Playthrough Journal
Nope, it really didn't do much for me. Like Twist would say, I am just cold and dead inside. Okay, seeing as how no one took a guess at what meme that picture was based off of I will let you all have another chance at guessing what it is based off of. Seriously, if you get it right I will probably do something for you. Maybe not but you get the gist of it. Anyways, moving onward with the playthrough. I think I will definitely get the Master Sword for sure and maybe do some exploring and then possibly complete the Arbiter's Ground if I feel like it and have enough time but I doubt it.

OH AND I REALLY WANT TO DO SOME FISHING! Okay so I really think that doing the Arbiters Ground would be a silly thing to do seeing as how I have lots of time to do stuff. So fishing it is! But first I need to save Midna from her untimely death! Well what am I waiting for? This is perhaps the best section of the game! So I really should get to it!

6:48 PM I get back from the bathroom from brushing my teeth quickly. The intro video started playing so I might as well watch it. I really like the music. From what I can tell though the intro video is slightly different from the GameCube version. I am not joking about that but it is only slightly different other than the flipped around everything.

6:55 PM To Hyrule Castle! Wait, why am I even bothering with typing this right now? Eh, why the heck not? But yeah, to Hyrule Castle! Know what I am going to do? Not bother with the enemies because I really have no need to defeat them seeing as how my wallet is already maxed out. This shall make things more interesting.

7:16 PM Okay, now I head to Faron Woods. Wow that music was really moving but most Zelda games are. I don't know what it is but Nintendo's games unlike most games out there know how to bring people together and bring happiness to the player. Okay, well I thought that I should say that seeing as how it came to my mind last night.

7:37 PM Ah! The Guardian Puzzle! Know what I always do for this? You think I try to solve it myself? NOPE! I really don't have the patience for that so I look up the simple way to do it on the internet for every single playthrough I do of this brilliant game! It is just puzzles like this one that I don't have the time or patience to do because it really isn't all that fun.

7:43 PM Got the badass purple sword also known as the Master Sword which is also known as the Blade of Evils Bane. Know what I am going to do now? FISHING! Yes, save the world or go fishing? I prefer to go fishing while the whole world is at stake. Not much else I can say but now I can really go anywhere I want with the ability to warp.

8:06 PM THAT GAME IS RIGGED! I only managed to catch one darn fish. Oh well I guess I will go and do other things such as dig caverns and collecting heart pieces. I don't know what it is but it didn't let me press A+B to land the fish. I am probably doing something wrong.

8:27 PM Well I think I will be getting off soon but first I have more fishing to do! I found a dig cavern with a large body of water! Is there really anything of value in here other than fish? That place shall be my safe haven from here on out! Heck it will be my new home!

8:49 PM Yet another Dig Cavern. That is a fishing pond! WITH TEKTIKES! Yeah I really think I will continue playing for a bit longer. Aw man, I caught a boot... Oh well. Time to continue fishing because it is awesome how it records how many fish you catch!

9:10 PM I am done for tonight but I will tackle the Arbiter Grounds later. I really remember that it was easier to find Dig Caverns and other things but I guess I will do more of that later as well. There really isn't anything that I can mention that was interesting but I did have to buy another shield to learn another hidden skill. Of course I did burn it afterwards.

Sadly, you're far from the first. When I was on a youtube video of the OST of the guardian puzzle music, people were commenting saying they immediately went to GameFAQs. Fools.

Because as we all know, in all video games, the end of the world is the perfect time to do sidequests. ^_^

The fish probably just wasn't close enough. I wasn't with you, so I can't say for sure, though. Overall, have fun with the rest of exploring!

Post Re: camarosquid's Mass Playthrough Journal
Okay, well I did the journal writing a bit different this time by instead of not using a pen and paper and wrote it in the post as I was playing the game this time I tried it out with a pen and paper so it will be interesting to see if I continue this trend in the future or just go back to writing the journal from the forums rather than from paper. This section of my playthrough is in two parts but I decided to write it all in one big chunk seeing as how this is all from round 4.

-February 20th 2013-

8:57 AM Start time. I start playing the game by looking for more dig caverns and trying to find anything that will interest me and entertain me. I really don't have anything to mention here except that I decided that I would not tackle the Arbiter's Grounds on this day and just take my time to look for more dig caverns and pieces of heart.

9:03 AM Found another dig cavern this time with lots of the enemy type known as Bubbles. You know the floating/flying skull things? The reward in here was of course more useless rupees which I have enough of. Why does this game give you so many rupees if you cant hold them all? I decide that the only thing worth spending the rupees on is for fixing the bridge so I decided that I would pay off the entire donation.

9:13 AM My wallet is full so of course I will donate all my rupees and repeat the process again and again until the bridge is fixed by paying off the entire fee. Seeing as how most of the dig caverns I come across give me orange rupees I might as well donate them for a good cause.

9:29 AM Now here is something interesting. This is the first time I think I noticed this but I never think I knew that you could enter the building where Talo stands atop of in Kakariko village that is really damn tall. Inside I find a purple rupee inside a jar of the many jars in the building.

9:33 AM Basically just exploring Kakariko village and reading the dialogue of the characters within the village such as Colin and Ilia. I am just doing this because in the last playthroughs of Twilight Princess I mainly just ran through the game without doing to much exploring and never took the time to read dialogue of certain characters within my free time.

9:40 AM I found something a tad bit interesting but it probably isn't what I think it is supposed to be. In the sanctuary of Kakariko village there is a shape or image that vaguely resembles the Tower of Spirits from Spirit Tracks. This is found behind the statue that covers the secret entrance to the basement. This is interesting because Spirit Tracks wasn't out at the time Twilight Princess was out. I guess it is just a look a like.

10:21 AM I finally repaired the bridge to the west I believe that is where it is located but I finally paid off the rest of the donation and can finally start donating more rupees to get Malo Mart to be in Castle Town. I am not sure if I will ever decide to actually pay off the rest of the donation seeing as how I don't need the magic armor.

10:40 AM I cant be the only one who has noticed this before but I just love how there is this unique movable door in the Lanayru Spirit Spring. The first time I found this I was just wowed at how there was a door in such a place. Oh and look at all of those cobra statues in this secret room!

11:07 AM Found another wall cavern. This time this one is in Lake Hylia. I think this is my favorite wall cavern in the game simply because of how large it is. Does anyone know if this is the biggest wall cavern in the game? Please tell me if you know because I have a feeling it is the biggest one in the game. This is the cavern with many paths that you enter by blowing up the rocks in the way.

11:30 AM While in the cavern I managed to craft another heart container. This raises my total life energy to 5 hearts. I wonder how many hearts I will have at the end of this playthrough? I think maybe that I should get up to six hearts and stop there but only time will tell what I will do.

11:32 AM That cavern has so many darn rupees! I cant hold them all so I am going to get out of here for now and spend my full wallet on helping to get Malo Mart in Castle Town. There are still lots of rupees that I have to collect in this cavern so I will come back.

12:10 PM Well that marks the end of my exploring and playing for today but I will tackle the Arbiter's Grounds some time later. Yes, I know I probably missed a lot of dig caverns but I got my fix of exploring for now so I think I will stop here for now and continue with the main story next time I play.

-February 22nd 2013 (Continuation)

12:13 AM Start time, time to head to the Gerudo Desert but first I have to go talk to Auru. Oh, I also want to thank FEZeldalord12345 for mentioning that you can make the scene when you first get to Gerudo Desert a different time of day. For this I will wait until it is dusk out because I wanted to try something different.

12:16 AM Oh my Hylia! Auru is the spiritual successor to Fi or in this case it is Fi reborn as a human male! He referred to me as Master! If this isn't a sure sign of him being a reincarnation of Fi then I don't know what is! (Yes I know he has nothing in common with Fi, I just thought it would be funny to mention this.)

12:27 AM Okay, this is very, very touching. After watching the cutscene when you enter the Gerudo Desert I found my deep and strong feelings for Midna again.
They will only get stronger as the game goes on as well. It also really helps that Link is a silent protagonist because I feel that I am Link especially after naming my character after my real name, Hayden. Having Midna refer to me as that just makes me feel so good. Now I remember why I wanted her back in the first place.

12:34 AM While exploring Gerudo Desert I found a more interesting Dig Cavern, this one includes a rare chu. Of course I decided to scoop it up. With this I can go Super Saiyan! Well sort of but you glow all yellow. I think this is the only reward in this cavern. I will save this for Stallord.

12:40 AM Now time to learn the devastating Mortal Draw. This only deals death. To be honest I didn't remember that you learnt this in the desert so it all worked out perfectly because I didn't have to backtrack to learn it. Now with the Mortal Draw, Rare Chu Jelly, and of course the Master Sword I will unleash it all on Stallord once I get to him.

1:09 AM I made it into the Arbiter's Grounds and have noticed something interesting. On some of the walls there appears to be a figure next to a trident. I find this very interesting because on the timeline after Twilight Princess is Four Swords Adventures which features Ganon who has a trident that lends him power. It is known as the Trident of Power. I think this is the intended message here.

1:39 AM The true evil of this dungeon, Death Sword. Also one of the coolest mini bosses in the game. Okay does anyone know if you can kill it with the Ordon Sword or do you have to use the Master Sword? I used the Ordon Sword for a little while but decided to just use the Master Sword and get it over with. I called Midna and she said this. "This thing just depresses me... Get him down here and introduce him to your blade!" I wonder why it depresses her? Maybe it is an interloper that is corrupted?

2:00 And Stallord is history... Again... Okay, I know this is a minimalist run but I used the Master Sword for this fight for one reason. I mentioned this earlier but I said I would use the Mortal Draw, Rare Chu Jelly, and the Master Sword. Do you want to know why? It is because you can kill Stallord in the second phase with just three consecutive hits with the Mortal Draw and Rare Chu Jelly and of course the Master Sword. (I know this is a minimalist run but I just wanted to do this.)

That's how I've been doing it and it works fine. I only jot down 3-5 words.

Yes, it's by far the largest one. The first one in Kakariko Gorge is very short, and there's a short cut in the one at the Bridge of Eldin.

I know. I kept on yelling GAAAAAAAAAAAAAME during one playthrough because I entered with a full wallet. Sad, I know. D':

Post Re: camarosquid's Mass Playthrough Journal
Okay, time to continue on with the playthrough. This time I have to tackle Snowpeak and Snowpeak ruins. I put this off to the last minute again and have to finish it by tonight. That shouldn't be all to hard so I will say this now, I am only going to post things that I notice interesting that I probably haven't noticed before. For example, I know that during the execution of Ganondorf scene we hear the Ganon's Castle escape them play and some people might have not noticed this before but I have so I wont mention it. Okay time to start.

8:40 PM Start time. Nothing much to say here except that now that I have the game in I am really looking forward to playing this portion of the game. Snowpeak Ruins is quite an awesome dungeon and it seems like I am the only one here who found the Ball and Chain to be most useful.

8:49 PM Okay, I know I said that I wouldn't mention anything not interesting or important but I just have to say that I think I just noticed how cute Midna looks when she is sitting on the area where the broken Mirror of Twilight lays. You know after the sages mention Ganondorf and she is sitting where the Mirror shard is? Yeah there. I don't know why but she looks cute when she is sad.

9:20 PM Out of all the howling stones this one is really out of place. The one in Snowpeak. It is the Ballad of Gales from Wind Waker. This really makes no sense because all the other howling stone songs have a relation to the Hero of Time except for this one. I don't know but it seems really out of place out of all the other howling stone songs.

9:38 PM Well I managed to get to Snowpeak Ruins. One thing that has always baffled me was the paintings in here. I just noticed that one of the paintings in the first room seems to be a blurred out screenshot of the entrance to the Temple of Time and behind that one is a blurred out screenshot that appears to be the entrance to the Arbiter's Grounds. It is easier to notice if you stand farther back from the framed paintings.

10:00 PM I died against Dark Hammer. Well that really sucks. That marks what, the second time I died in this playthrough? I guess I was low on health and just panicked. Well that is why I picked to do a minimalist run right? I also kind of find it odd how early you fight the mini boss in this dungeon. It just seems kinda out of place to be honest.

10:07 PM Guess what? I died again. I think the reason why I am having such a hard time is because I am not using a shield. I don't care but I am using the Master Sword this time even though it is a minimalist run.

10:09 PM Well I beat Dark Hammer. I just want to mention that the room with the Ordon goat cheese has all these suits of armor and in one of them there is an ice bubble. I found this odd but when I defeated it, it dropped an orange rupee. Now that makes sense but if it was just the enemy itself and it didn't drop anything than it would be quite stupid.

11:17 PM Well that marks the end of this portion of the playthrough. I completed Snowpeak ruins. I must say that this just might be my favorite dungeon in the game but I am still not sure. I love all the dungeons in this game that it is really hard to pick a favorite. Well see you next time.

Wow. You died quite a few times. Did you use the Zora Armor or not? That's what makes a difference.

Post Re: camarosquid's Mass Playthrough Journal
No I did not use the Zora Armor and if I did I would have got totally owned by everything in sight. Okay, continuing off my playthrough from last time. Yet again I am doing this at the last minute. (Why do I do this to myself?) So I only got to midnight to complete the Temple of Time. That shouldn't be difficult at all seeing as how straight forward this part of the game is. Once again I wont mention anything all that much seeing as how I just want to get this over with seeing as how I don't have all the time in the world to complete the Temple of Time. Okay let us start!

8:37 PM Start time. Nothing much to say but to Faron! Also my Wii Remote is running low on batteries. I am so glad Midna doesn't mention this because it would be so freaking annoying. If they die I will just put a new pair of double AA batteries into this sweet gold Wii Remote.

9:01 PM I can become a child again by putting the sword back into the pedestal? Sweet! Oh wait wrong game and speaking of games, I think that if it wasn't for Ocarina of Time I probably wouldn't know that this is what you had to do. I really love how this game just hints Ocarina of Time all over it. It really is amazing overall.

9:06 PM I am fighting the Shadow Beasts here and I am not sure if this is the first time I noticed this but I am screwing around with the Ball and Chain which kills these guys in one or two hits with this item. Anyways, one of the beasts is striking me and I am not getting hit because I am holding the Ball and Chain. I works as a shield as well. Why do people say it is useless again?

9:32 PM I fire an arrow at the idle Darknut and the battle commences! Okay I have to not be the only person here who sees that this dungeon is almost a complete rip-off of the Tower of Gods from the Wind Waker. You both control statues, and both mini bosses of each of these dungeons are Darknuts! Just think about it though, I do love this dungeon even if it isn't all that original.

9:41 PM Victorious. With the Ordon Sword and by using mainly the jump attack and the Jump Strike Hidden Skill. And now I got quite possibly the most useless item in the entire Zelda franchise known as the Dominion Rod. What a useless item this is. Cool concept but it really sucks that you only get to use it a lot once and it is only in this dungeon.

10:17 PM Commence the Wii U Zelda tech demo... Man that tech demo blew me away when I seen a clip of it when the Wii U was revealed at E3 in 2011. Anyways, time to kill a giant spider. I must say that now that this boss has appeared in that tech demo it really makes me appreciate it a lot more seeing as how the second phase of this fight is just a complete joke.

10:23 PM Why the heck does Link's facial expression change within a single frame or so of animation? Did the developers not notice how ridiculous it looks for it do be done in a single frame or so for the animation? I am not hating or anything but it just looks a bit silly but at least it adds to the WTF factor.

10:26 PM And it is dead with the Spider Crusher during the second phase. First shot as well. Well that raps up my playthrough of this section so I will see you all next time which is literally tomorrow I think. That is if I decide to play tomorrow or not. Overall though this is really a blast so far and I am having fun replaying this game again.

It took you 9 minutes to kill Armogohma? That's...rather sad.
