Midna is Reggie Fils-Aime’s Favorite Zelda Companion

Among the mayhem that was E3 2016, YouTuber The Completionist got a chance to sit down and record an interview with Reggie Fils-Aime. However, the Nintendo of America CEO quickly turned the tables and began to test the interviewer’s Zelda know-how.

Like the best of the Nintendo Direct skits, this charmingly bizarre video boasts more than a handful of great moments. However, the highlight for me is when Reggie kicks off a lightning round of Zelda-related questions.

When asked who his favorite Zelda companion is, The Completionist snaps “Fi!” However, Reggie simply responds “Eh, Midna. Sorry.” The guy’s got it figured out.

The video is chock-full of little moments such as that one, though — definitely give it a watch after the jump!

Time sure does fly — E3 has already come and gone. Now that I’m a few days removed from the show, let’s talk about that one game. The one that many attendees spent the entire event just trying to get access to. I can’t say I blame them, as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is undoubtedly the highlight of this year’s E3.

Throughout this particular article, I’ll be discussing my experience with the latter. Let’s hit the jump and dive right in!

It’s been confirmed that the amiibo will bring Wolf Link himself into the new title’s vast overworld. Considering that the game lacks a proper companion character, this acts as the next best thing. There’s no Midna to accompany Wolf Link, but it’s an excellent addition nonetheless. Take a look for yourself after the jump!

Wind Waker’s Koroks Appear in Breath of the Wild

Nintendo’s first live stream of Breath of the Wild provided Zelda lore buffs with a fair share of head-scratching material. Perhaps chief among them is the resurgence of the Koroks from The Wind Waker.

Although we’ve yet to hear a confirmation from Nintendo, the little forest spirit’s presence suggests that this game takes place in the Adult Timeline. This is definitely Hyrule, though, given the appearance of the Master Sword. Could the Great Sea have been drained? How did the Master Sword end up out of Ganondorf’s head and into its pedestal? Fingers crossed, we’ll hear more about the game’s place in the timeline before the end of the week.
