Breath of the Wild to Launch with Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch Presentation just concluded, and with it came a confirmation that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will indeed launch alongside the Nintendo Switch on March 3. Additionally, a new trailer showcasing the game’s story was released. There’s so much to unpack with this footage that I will undoubtedly watch it 20 more times before I go to bed tonight. Watch Tonight’s Nintendo Switch Presentation Here

Despite its official unveiling this past October, the specifics of the Nintendo Switch are still a mystery. Thankfully, that’s about to change. The company will hold a presentation that will be streamed online tonight at 8 p.m. PT/11 p.m. ET. By the end of the hour-long showcase, we should have all of the details regarding the console’s release date, price, and launch game lineup. Fingers crossed, Breath of the Wild will be among that initial wave of Switch titles.

New Breath of the Wild Environment Unveiled at The Game Awards

A new trailer wasn’t the only piece of Breath of the Wild content to come out of tonight’s Game Awards ceremony. Near the tail-end of the proceedings, Nintendo’s Bill Trinen and Nate Bihldorff tag-teamed their way through a newly-unveiled section of the game. Along with a never-before-seen NPC, the demo showcases another distinct environment — hinting at the wide variety of locales that Link will discover throughout his next adventure.
