Check out Zelda Universe’s Twilight Princess: English Dub

Last month, fellow fan site Zelda Universe launched one of its most ambitious projects to date on its YouTube channel: a cinematic re-editing of Twilight Princess that features full-fledged English voiceovers. The overall presentation showcases a deep reverence for the source material, with the performances in the first chapter alone being top-notch.

That said, the most recent entry, which released just yesterday, is particularly noteworthy for its introduction of Midna. Based on the handful of fan-dubs I’ve watched throughout the years, this actress’s performance offers the most convincing portrayal of the mischievous imp yet. Her tone is often condescending enough to sympathize with the perpetual snarl on Link’s face, yet playful enough to remain endearing.

Skyward Sword releases on Wii U virtual console today

This morning’s Nintendo Direct definitely went out of its way to celebrate Zelda’s 30th anniversary. As if the announcement of four new amiibo and the release of Hyrule Warriors Legends’ third DLC pack weren’t enough, the Wii U virtual console is adding another entry to its robust catalogue: Skyward Sword.

Considering that the game will release in its original form, you’ll need a Wii remote with Motion Plus and nunchuck to play it. If you still haven’t experienced this fantastic chapter in the Zelda mythos, now’s the perfect time.

Hyrule Warriors’ Link’s Awakening DLC to Launch June 30 in the UK

A trailer for Hyrule Warriors Legends’ Link’s Awakening DLC pack just released, showcasing what exactly fans can expect. Both the Wii U version and its 3DS counterpart will bring Marin to the playable roster, as well as a nifty pair of boots for Linkle to stomp enemies with. Additionally, 15 new My Fairy costumes and an Adventure Mode map based on Koholint Island will come exclusively to the 3DS version.

The trailer also reveals that the DLC will launch on June 30 in the UK. Considering that the Master Wind Waker pack released simultaneously in both regions, it’s safe-ish to assume that this pack will launch in North America on that day, too. That said, I’ve yet to see any official confirmation.

Check out the trailer after the jump, and let us know in the comments section whether you plan on picking up this DLC.
